Hayley handles complex environmental and natural resource matters. She offers litigation, regulatory, and advisory services to municipal and tribal governments, nonprofits, and private clients.
Professional Experience
Served as a Law Clerk to Associate Chief Justice Charles W. Johnson at the Washington State Supreme Court, conducting legal research and drafting opinions on civil and criminal matters before the Court.
While externing at the Tulalip Tribal Court, supported tribal court judges on a variety of research issues and observed meetings and hearings related to the court’s collaborative and restorative model including its Mental Health and Wellness Court programs.
As a Research Assistant to Professor Margaret Chon at Seattle University School of Law, served as a student member on the Washington State Bar Association's Legal Technology Task Force, contributing to the final report on artificial intelligence in the law.
As a member of a transnational task force through the University of Washington's Canadian Studies Center, published a policy briefing in the academic journal Arctic and International Relations Series on climate issues affecting Canadian Inuit communities.
Caitlin also spent some time living in Australia, initially studying abroad at the University of Melbourne before working in commercial tenant representation, negotiating lease terms and advising on office relocations for small businesses.
